Barry Quinn was signed up by Coventry City in August 1996 having impressed as a trainee with his local club; Manortown United.

He would make seventy-four appearances for Coventry across his six seasons before he made the move to Rushden & Diamonds and then Oxford United on loan, although he would sign for the latter on a free transfer in May 2004.

He enjoyed his best years at Oxford, 199 appearances in his 2 spells, captaining the side and winning their Player’s Player of the year award for his displays in the 2006/07 season. He retired in 2012 after a three-year period with Brackley Town.

Quinn played for the Republic of Ireland in the 1997 UEFA European Under-18 Football Championship finals in Iceland before progressing into the under 21s and then the seniors where he won five caps.
