Ciara Grant was born in Letterkenny, Donegal on the 11th of June 1993. Her football career started with Lagan Harps and Kilmacrennan Celtic as well as representing her school, Loreto.

In 2009, she helped Celtic win the WFAI Intermediate Cup and in 2011 she was a member of the Loreto team that won the FAIS Senior Girls Cup, the top cup competition for girl’s school teams in Ireland.

The midfielder would then move to Raheny United where she won two successive league titles in 2012–13 and 2013–14 and two successive FAI Women's Cups in 2012 and 2013, scoring a spectacular opener in the second final.

Grant also enjoyed spells with UCD Waves, Sions Swifts, and Shelbourne before making the move to Rangers in January 2022.

The Doctor made her senior international debut for Ireland in November 2012, in a 5–0 friendly defeat to the United States, replacing Niamh Fahey in the 57th minute and has won 13 caps in total at present but is still a regular in Ireland squads.
