Liam Brady’s club career would see him play for St Kevin’s Boys, Arsenal, Juventus, Sampdoria, Internazionale, Ascoli and West Ham United.

But wearing the green of Ireland, the talented playmaker would win 72 caps and score nine goals but due to a suspension accrued before Euro 88 he was not eligible to play within that historic tournament.

Brady retired in 1990 and embarked on a successful punditry and coaching career while he also acted as assistant manager assistant to Giovanni Trapattoni between 2008 to 2010.
