Paula Brady has been refereeing since 2006 after several serious injuries forced her to call time on her playing career.

Since then, she has enjoyed many memorable moments being a referee as she has taken charge of many high-profile international and Uefa Women’s Champions League fixtures, while also taking charge of the 2021 Women’s FAI Cup final.

In 2019, Brady was the official in the middle for Spain’s 4-0 win over Azerbaijan in a Uefa Women’s Euro 2021 qualifier and according to the Dubliner, it was the first time that Ireland had a team of four female officials on international duty as she worked alongside Michelle O’Neil, Olivia Sneyd, and Orla Devaney.

She is also a referee instructor for the Football Association of Ireland.
