Tony Dunne was born in Dublin on the 24th of July 1941 and sadly passed away on the 8th of June 2020.
Dunne is best known for his spell at Manchester United, where he was brought in as cover for Brennan and also won two league titles and a European Cup during his 13 years at Old Trafford.
He made his full international debut in the 3–2 home defeat by Austria on the 8th of April 1962 and would win 33 caps in total - captaining his country on four occasions - while he was also named the Irish Footballer of the Year in 1969.
